Best superhero costumes for your son this Halloween

Superheroes have never been bigger. Sure, as a dad you might remember when comics had their golden age way back in the '60s, but nothing compares to the giant media empire that surrounds franchises like The Avengers, Batman or Spider-Man these days. And of course, with every new superhero movie comes a slew of new Halloween costumes. Want to help your little guy decide which X-man, Avenger or DC comics hero he's going to be this year? Check out these top choices.

Spider-Man
This is a classic costume that can be found at just about any Halloween shop – even last minute. Who wouldn't want to be Spidey for a night? Plus, Spider-Man is pretty kid-friendly, as far as superheroes are concerned.

Superman
Need a last minute costume for your kid? Grab some blue pajamas and a red sheet for a cape – with the classic S inscribed on it, of course. And following the summer blockbuster Man of Steel, Superman is as popular a hero as ever.

One of the Incredibles
Disney and Pixar's movie The Incredibles is almost 10 years old – but kids still love it! And any one of this superfamily, from Mr. Incredible himself to Dash, is a great costume idea, and perfect for dads with younger tykes.
