Doogie Howser is all grown up and ready to be a dad. Doogie, AKA Neil Patrick Harris, 37, and long time partner David Burtka will be doubling their family by two. According to E! Online, the couple used a surrogate.
“So, get this: David and I are expecting twins this fall,” Harris tweeted. “We’re super excited/nervous/thrilled. Hoping the press can respect our privacy…”
Harris is currently starring in “How I Met Your Mother.” At the age of 16 in 1989, he starred in Doogie Howser, M.D., for which he was nominated for a Golden Globe. The show ran for four years.

Rod Stewart will be a dad for the 7th time, reports People magazine.
The 65-year-old rocker and his 39-year-old model wife Penny Lancaster, will be having a baby. The couple already has one one child together, 4-year-old son Alastair. Rod Stewart has five other kids from past relationships.
Wait until he has to chase a toddler around the living room.
Four-time and defending NASCAR Sprint Cup Series champion Jimmie Johnson is now a dad.
A baby girl was delivered to Johnson and wife Chandra Wednesday. Both mother and daughter are doing fine, according to a Hendrick Motorsports spokesperson.

I always want to read more when I see stories like this one about GĂ©rard Depardieu’s son, who just died of pneumonia. … The son of Gerard and Elisabeth Depardieu, Guillaume had starred alongside his father for the first time in director Alain Corneau’s “Tous les matins du monde” (All the world’s mornings) in 1991.
…It’s very rare for any one dad, or mom, to be able to be a super person during the day and a great parent when the kids come home.

People magazine reports that Russell Crowe is a “pushover, as far as the kids are concerned.” … Importantly, he added some comments about multitasking and fatherhood: “everybody who’s got kids knows exactly what that drill is. When you are the father of two, and sometimes moms got to work, you got to do it, man.”
