how to handle the ex wife when she lives with her mom and my

i have been a single dad for almost 3 years,my son is the best thing in my life,i try really hard to do the best i can when i have him and i think i do well but i am always getting shot down by my ex wife because her mother controls her and tells her what to do and say to me. my ex wifes mother rasies my son at there home and it drives my nuts, they say there is nothing i can do about that.if it wasn't for that i think we would work better together
