Girl Name

Postby rockalance on Sat Mar 21, 2009 5:05 pm

Me and my wife are going to have a girl. We've decided on a name but I'd like your input on how to spell it:

1)April
2)Apryl
3)Aprill
or any other suggestions.

Thanks,
Lance

Go with April. It's already a name that's a little out of the ordinary and will be remembered. It's a pretty name - no reason to clutter it up and force your daughter into a lifetime of spelling it out or correcting people on it. Congratulations! A daughter is a wonderful gift, as is a son! You're a very lucky dad.

I agree, April is very pretty! And I also agree that a name should be spelled in the conventional way, your child will be unique enough on her own.

That being said, my son's name is Will, JUST Will. My wife didn't like William so we compromised! Poor kid, already caught in the middle :)
