My son loves Letter Peek and it is only 0.99. ALphababy and I hear Ewe are great free apps as well. Free App for me is Intuition (www.iconapps.com) aka “mom’s personal assistant”. Task management tool that simplifies Mom’s busy schedules. And for games, Restaurant Story is the most addicting!

I’m getting really positive feedback (from parents, kids and official app reviewers) for my recent app, Pogg – an iPhone/iTouch game for kids (1-8 years old). Use it as an educational app or just as a distraction for a few minutes.

Credit for the “random” button goes to my son who was 15 months old at the time – I made that button for him, and he loves it and can play for ages just pressing that and having fun.

You should check out the Baby Translator for iphone/ipod touch for those Dad’s that are a bit baby challenged. It helps converts baby talk to English, well it’s good for a laugh anyway, and dads love that! So do moms!

I agree, this a list of nice apps but most of them aren’t parent specific. I saw an app for tracking feedings, changings, etc. that I would have loved when my twins were babies. I also think entertainment apps that parents and kids can use together are nice. My app, SnowGlobe Maker, is an example of a creative app that kids seem to love playing with a parent. Sort of a quick way to make and share custom art.

My app, “BumperCars” launched in the App store about a week ago (its been around #65 in the “Kids Games” category for the past few days), and the feedback has been really positive so far. It’s great for kids (or all ages, really), non-violent, has great music and is a simple and easy to use time waster.
