There is a great book which actually reads from both side one is about what the mom does and one is about what the dad does. They both do the same things with the kid. It is What Mommies Do Best What Daddies Do Best by Laura Numeroff. As a divorced parent I read both sides to my son.
"Because of Winn Dixie" has a wonderful dad character. So does "Ramona and her Father" and many of the Beverly Cleary books.
I've often wondered this myself. However, I have seen some change in this in recent years. The first books that come to mind are the wonderful "Knuffle Bunny" and "Knuffle Bunny Too" by Mo Willems. It's not "about" Trixie and her Dad--it just shows the dad as being active in Trixie's life (and doing chores), and that that's normal. I hope you get lots of great responses!

What about "Just Me & My Dad" or " Just Like Dad" by Mercer Meyer
I have to agree. It's almost always babies, toddlers and moms. I guess we have come to know that dads don't have a sensitive side as well.
