Storyboy is an e-book reader, for the iPhone and iPod touch, designed for young children between 1-7 years old. Parents and kids can enjoy the narrated, interactive and animated e-books together, anytime and anywhere.
The application can be downloaded free from the iTunes app store and comes with two complimentary titles, First Words and The Three Little Pigs.
The StoryBoy library can be expanded by purchasing additional titles wirelessly from the e-book store using iTunes credits. There are original and classic titles to choose from, as well as complimentary parent articles that can be downloaded for a quick, informative read.
Benjamin and Hoa Vu are brothers and the dads who founded the company behind StoryBoy. Both are creative entrepreneurs. While Ben is the professional animator, with a 12-year-old son, Hoa's background is in architecture and he has two young sons below the age of six, who fit into the StoryBoy user demographic. Hoa's oldest son, Tyler, was the inspiration behind the app because his dad and uncle noticed how captivated he was with images that were displayed on their iPhone and it inspired them to create StoryBoy. |
