 This book is a daily pregnancy countdown for the 5-10 year old big brother- or sister-to-be. Each day the baby describes what is happening with regards to itsdevelopment, and gives the sibling a related activity to do. For example, the baby may say, "Today, I am now three inches long." The activity is, "Use the measuring tape to find something in your house that is three inches long." Want to know how many days until the due date? Just look at the countdown on the side of every page. The book includes four colored pencils and a 24" measuring tape to keep track of the baby's size. Hardcover/286 pages - one page for each day of mom's pregnancy. Most big brother/sister books are designed for toddlers, but this one is specifically for the older (5-10 years) sibling. Since Mom typically has her own pregnancy books to read, this is a great book for Dad and son/daughter to use together and create a daily ritual. While learning about the baby's daily development, you will also have lots of fun doing the activities together. Not only will it include the older sibling in the pregnancy process every day, but it will also help them bond with the baby-to-be, and reduce sibling rivalry and jealousy when the baby arrives.
