| The Land of Me is a brand new range of early learning software for ages 2 and up. Created by children's multimedia publisher Made in Me and a Professor of Child Development, the game is for adults to play with children to support their communication and development. The chapters can be bought and downloaded via the website and can be played without use of an internet connection (once downloaded). You and your child are guided around The Land of Me by characters Eric the Racoon, Buddy Boo the Bear and Willow the Owl, where you meet different animals on your travels. There are six different chapters available that stimulate children using various creative tools - in chapter one you might make up a giant pink rhino and in chapter three you could be launching fireworks out of a jelly palace! The Land of Me itself looks great (it was made by the guys who made Batman!) and you and your child can really stretch your imagination and creativity. A vital element of The Land of Me is that it's for adults and children to play together. It's really important that children are encouraged to talk about their ideas and thoughts - that level of interaction is great for boosting their development. There are endless possibilities within the software, but also outside of it - there is a section full of printable bits such as with finger puppets and masks which could take Dads and their children on their own adventures. Often, Dads tend to embrace technology more than Mums so playing The Land of Me is a great way for them to spend more time together. Land of Me adds to a growing list of software this fun for dads and kids at the same time.
