An interesting aspect of this application is that First Toddle really spans two of the available categories -- Pregnancy-Infancy and Toddler-Preschool, perhaps best defined as Infancy-Toddler. Our children (boy and girl twins) were my inspiration for First Toddle back when they were 8 months old and I was a work-at-home dad. There I was on conference calls, checking e-mails, phoning clients and, of course, doing feedings, changing diapers, and trying to keep our twins safe as they increasingly started to explore the living room. I made the original First Toddle prototype out of PVC pipe and attached their favorite play items with shoe laces. They had more fun with that basic prototype than anything else we had bought for them. Then I watched and took notes as they continued to use First Toddle in new and creative ways. The whole experience was one of the most memorable as a new dad.
