Readers will find that it represents a voice not often heard from in parenting publications, a smart, irreverent, caring Dad who essentially thinks that most parenting advice is rubbish. Word to Big Bird. It's funny, didactic, poignant, and free. That's right...free. Alcohol-free, sugar-free, fat-free, carefree, and just plain free. You've never read anything like it, because most parenting publications cater to over-reactive Moms, the whinier the better because, I suppose, that's the demographic advertisers want to target. Any one of those columns is dripping with more humor, common sense, and clarity, than a shelf-full of T. Berry Brazelton, and that's a guarantee. Not to take anything away from TBB, but I write what he can't.
TheMorrisonBoys.com is better than the average blog, perhaps because all the columns have faced editorial scrutiny in the local newspaper. Divorced dads especially will enjoy the perspective of a thoughtful dad navigating parenting alone while maintaining a healthy relationship with his sons' mom.
