Marc Warnke is a family man first and an entrepreneur second.  As a part of his self defined higher purpose he wrote Options Not Obligations—Enrich Your Personal Life by Rethinking Your Financial Life. Options Not Obligations as a way to help bring fathers and mothers back to their children in mass.  His life goals are to love, to learn and to live life with joy while spreading the word of Family First Entrepreneurism.  ONO will launch on April 22nd 2009.

He shares his experience:

My mission with ONO and the advancement of the Family First Entrepreneurial movement is to help parents recapture their time so they can spend it with their children.  Kids spell love T-I-M-E.  You have to buy that time and ONO teaches you how-- through adapting lifestyle and becoming entrepreneurial.

Parents should know that I come from a family first wealth creation mindset.  Dads specifically need to know that our role as fathers shouldn’t only include our role as a provider.  Our impact, in the end, on our children will not be defined by our net worth or the possessions we have.  Rather, it will be about the time we spent with them and the experiences we shared.  As a provider I would rather have a small house and tons of time, than a big house and no time.  Passionate parents are rethinking things financially.

A father’s role in parenting is as critical as a mother’s.  We can be that great example of a man of “velvet and steel, but only if we are present.  Many of us dads miss out, as we work to provide, and that is a reality, but we can manipulate our time if we have a financial plan that provides options.  Steer your financial course toward the goal of recapturing your time and you will be on the road to a solution to the work / life balance we are all looking for.
