Women are still more likely to take kids along on business trips (20% of women execs do), but that trend could change as dads want to play a larger role and not miss out on their kids' wonder years. I just took a weekend away with my six-year-old daughter, and the time we had together, without mommy in the picture was priceless. Of course, it takes more courage, infrastructure, and planning to do that on a business trip, but may just be worth it. Ask my wife; she's done it dozens of times!
