Actor Hank Azaria has no qualms about admitting that he is indeed ‘terrified’ of fatherhood. The actor and his girlfriend Katie Wright are currently preparing for the birth of their son.
In an interview to People Magazine at the world premiere of Night at the Museum: Battle of the Smithsonian, the actor said, “I’ve been shooting a documentary about fatherhood because I’m so terrified that I wanted to get a lot of advice.”
Hank has found a great way to bond with his unborn child by talking to Katie’s tummy. Hank says, “I get inspired to talk to him like John Lennon occasionally. He seems to like it. He gets very kicky when I talk this way.” Azaria is known for providing the ‘voices’ of Apu, Professor Fink, Chief Wiggum, and many others on the hit show, The Simpsons. He jokes that the baby will probably come out knowing all the voices.
Katie and Hank have also started working on improving their parenting skills with new age pregnancy classes such as hynobirthing where a woman hypnotizes herself to reduce the pain of childbirth. “And we’re taking a child raising class, a baby holding class, a baby diapering class, and everything!”, said the proud father-to-be.
Night at the Museum: Battle of the Smithsonian also stars Ben Stiller and Amy Adams. It hits theaters on May 22nd. Read movie review.
