The best part of being a Dad at Christmas time is the Joy you bring your family, not just at Christmas but all year long. My boys (32 & 30) still call their Dad to ask questions. For me the best part is seeing my daughters face at Christmas. The worst part is assembling everything.

By Timothy,   From Lexington
For me, the best part is seeing my girls so happy on Christmas day. They love opening gifts and spending a long vacation with my wife and I. In fact, it is hard to come up with a bad part of being a dad at Christmas time. I suppose the worst part is worrying that they aren't going to be happy on Christmas day, or that Christmas hasn't been "big" enough. However, despite such worries always have seemed happy and joyful on Christmas day. Thanks.

By Aaron,   From Aurora

By Annie,   From Fort Worth
The worse part of being a dad (or mom) is when the kids get so excited that they (1) can't behave in the days leading up to Christmas so you keep having to yell at them (2) can't sleep on Christmas Eve and wake you up dozens of times until (yes) you have to yell at them and (3) they get so greedy after Christmas that they constantly want even more new things making you (again) have to yell at them! Best part is having fun with the kids (when we aren't yelling at them, of course).

the best part is seeing the looks on the kids faces when they open the presents, and the worst part is getting the same tie/socks each year !

By Kasey,   From Crystal River
I'll start with the worst part though my husband has never complained (the key word here would be yet); my dad was certainly a little more vocal about it as I got older and then had kids of my own about being up at all hours of the night trying to get things put together so that Santa's present was sitting right out in the open under the tree when we got up. I do distinctly remember one year though that my sister and I got up too early and they weren't finished putting out bikes together. I remember my mom hearing us in the hall and coming to close the hall door so we couldn't get into the family room saying Santa was still there and we weren't supposed to see him. I still laugh about it now. Of course on the other hand the best part has got to be seeing the excited faces when the kids come out and realize that Santa has been there and brought them exactly what they wanted. Those all all memories I think you'd remember forever.

By Steve,   From Winchester
The best? Being able to provide for my family of five in this troubled economy. The worst? Not knowing how much longer I'll be able to do so. We might have to send my wife back to work if things don't start changing for the better over on Wall Street.
