X Games: The Movie features professionals doing stunts

Child-friendly? This documentary that showcases extreme sport athletes may appeal to many older children and teenagers who are interested in biking and skateboarding. Though the movie does show how professional some of the young athletes are, parents may have to give stern reminders about not attempting the same stunts in the film. Also, keep in mind that the film is in 3D, which may be scary for some children, especially if they've only seen cartoons in that format. The documentary is appropriate for children aged 10 and up.

Children who know the names Shaun White and Danny Way will most likely be drawn to this documentary that depicts those two extreme athletes, as well as others, performing complicated stunts on screen.

The documentary X Games 3D: The Movie draws on the popularity of the extreme sport industry and follows some of the businesses most well-known players. And since the film is in 3D, parents can expect the wow factor to be amped up when their kids witness some of the athletes literally jumping out of the screen.

However, parents should keep in mind that most of the movie is just that: men doing stunts on their bikes, skateboards and in a couple of instances a car. While it's exciting, it may be easy for some children to feel inspired to imitate the stunts they see on screen.

Also, because most of the professional athletes are sponsored by corporations, there are a lot of scenes where a business' logo is displayed, which may not be ideal with parents who don't want their children exposed to that much advertising. ADNFCR-1662-ID-19335995-ADNFCR
