The new Fantastic Four film has many unearthly challenges for its heroes to solve and one of them involves fighting a super villain searching for entire planets to eat. Watch the Fab Four save earth this summer as they battle their intergalactic nemesis, the Silver Surfer, a nemesis with an appetite for galaxies.

Reed, Sue, Johnny and Ben must unravel the mystery of the Silver Surfer and confront the surprising return of Dr. Doom. Expect the doctor to reappear in full Doom meanness in the sequel after being defeated and frozen in the last Fantastic Four flick. Dr. Doom’s origins will also be explored.

At the beginning of the film, Reed and Sue get married only to have the Silver Surfer gate crash the wedding. The Surfer is fast; so watch out for fantastic chase sequences with Johnny (the Flame) in hot pursuit of the villain. There will also be some humor with Ben and Johnny accidentally switching their powers. That’s something that was waiting to happen!

Its special effects galore and good wholesome fun* for the whole family. Retro dads will find a wonderful opportunity to enlighten their children about the origins and adventures of the Fantastic Four as they brush the dust off their classic Marvel comic book collection.

Dads will also want to be looking out for Stan Lee’s cameo in the flesh, in a tribute to his own fictional comic book incarnation.

Great Dad Talks
Great Dad Talks

Great Dad Talks is a series of conversations with experts on all aspects of the family adventure. With the perspective that “dads don’t always think like moms,” our mission is to support dad voices and our slightly different approaches to parenting. We’ll try to find solutions to every day challenges like getting kids off the couch and making STEM classes available for both boys and girls. But we’ll also tackle bigger issues when they come. The one main theme will be to support dads in the most important role of their lives that of being a great dad.
