Adiri NxGen Infant Feeding Bottle

The Adiri NxGen Nurser features a breast-like nipple shape and Petal vent system that offers the natural feel and function of the breast.

Our daughter Rosemary was exclusively breastfed for 6 months, so when it came time for Dad to introduce a bottle, things didn’t go very well at first. Even though it was the same delicious breast milk flowing out, Rosemary didn’t appreciate the new delivery system. For a while, just the sight of a bottle would greatly upset her, which greatly upset me. All I could do was hold the bottle while she expressed her disapproval by shaking her head back and forth, waiving her arms, and of course, crying. Eventually, I would hand her over to Mom and say that we’d try again tomorrow.

I tried many different types of bottles, and the one that helped turn the corner is the Adiri NxGen bottle. It could have been the natural breast-like nipple, made of soft medical grade silicone, or it could have been the bottom vented one-way Petal valve system, which enables a consistent air flow.  I may never know exactly what it was, but what I do know is that it was the first bottle I had success with, and after a few weeks, Rosemary was taking the NxGen bottle as willingly as the breast. I was finally able to experience the bond and joy of feeding a happy baby.

I wouldn’t have even tried the Adiri bottle if it wasn’t BPA free. It of course is BPA free as are all of Adiri’s products. In addition, all Adiri products are made of food grade silicone and plastics that are 100% polycarbonate.

Aside from offering the feel and function of the breast, the Adiri bottle has a lot of other great qualities. One that I especially appreciate is the ease of cleaning. Disassembly takes seconds, and the wide opening of the bottle makes for hassle-free hand washing. It is also dishwasher safe (top rack only). The NxGen Nurser comes with a handy leak proof dust cover, so once sterilized, you don’t need to worry about nipple contamination during travel. The cover works perfectly well as long as it stays on. However, it is held on using only friction, and a few times it had slipped off. As long as you carefully place the bottle upright in your tote bag, it should be fine.

To achieve the perfect flow, the NxGen Nurser is available in four flow rates: Newborn (0-3 mo), Slow (3-6 mo), Medium (6-9 mo), and Fast (9+ mo).
