When coaching your child’s communication skills, there’s ample truth in the trite phrase ‘walk the talk’. Your child takes after you, and it is but natural that he will pick up your style and manner of communication.
Use Correct Language
When speaking to your child, it is not a good idea to use ‘child-speak’, or language that kids use. This will only encourage your child to pick up wrong grammar or vocabulary. Use correct syntax, grammar, and appropriate language (expletives are a strict no-no).
