Your Baby is Learning to Grasp

Your baby is eight weeks old. By now his ability to focus on an object and follow it with his gaze will have developed; you can help him by dangling colorful objects such as toys in front of him and then moving them around slowly to gauge his responses.

He may also be developing his capacity to grasp with his fingers, so you’ll need to keep a watchful eye on him; babies are notorious for wanting to swallow anything they can lay their hands on.
