Easing Pain in Childbirth

Check out the NY Times
for an article
on an old practice of putting pregnant women on their hands and knees while in
labor to ease the pain of childbirth. Midwives have long recommended the practice to get the baby
“into position.” The data seems to indicate that it helps with the pain, but there is no proof that
it actually helps get the baby in the right place. This is definitely worth discussing with your
OB/GYN.
