Exercise: Kegels

Kegels are exercises that strengthen the pelvic floor muscles that support the urethra, bladder, uterus, and rectum. They are recommended to help women with urinary incontinence, or diminished bladder control, which can happen after childbirth. Evidence also suggests that strong pelvic floor muscles may help shorten the pushing stage of labor, enough reason for your wife to start on kegels now. Click here to read more on kegels.
