Will your wife’s libido ever return?

Not surprisingly, many women who've just given birth aren't especially interested in sex. Not only are their bodies still recovering from the pregnancy, they're exhausted from breastfeeding, burping and diaper-changing. Having said that, sex is an important part of any relationship, and it's fair for you to wonder if your sex life will ever return to normal.

For the first few months after the new baby arrives, chances are neither you nor your wife are going to have much time to do the deed. You'll both be so exhausted by your time with the little one that the thought of any kind of physical activity will likely seem overwhelming. Plus, doctors recommend waiting at least four weeks after the baby's birth to allow your wife's body to heal.

But don't worry! Things will begin to calm down one your baby starts sleeping through the night, and by then, you may have a little more time to be intimate with one another.

The most important thing to remember, says the Mayo Clinic, is that you should set your own timeline. There's no right or wrong time to resume sexual activity, so whether it takes you four weeks or four months, you're still normal.
