WedgEZ™ – The Outlet Plug Remover: A Domesticated Dad’s Invention by Dave Miglin

Even though we have full-time jobs, domesticated dads also do their share of the work at home. It was during the chore of vacuuming that the concept of WedgEZ came to inventor, Dave Miglin. His home had safety outlet plugs throughout to protect his young children but the downside was that outlet plugs were very difficult for adults to pull out when outlets were needed, especially for vacuuming.

Outlet plugs have been in existence since the 1970s, so surely someone had developed something that easily removes them – right?

After researching online and popular baby stores, Dave realized that this common problem for parents of young kids had gone unanswered. Thus, WedgEZ was born.

The shape of WedgEZ provides an easy grip with a tip that wedges conveniently between any brand safety plug and the outlet. With little effort, the safety plug can now be dislodged. Electric cord clips were added to the design so WedgEZ can clip to the vacuum, or other frequently used devices, for easy access. Dave even selected a bright orange color to make WedgEZ easy to notice if tossed in Dad’s junk drawer.

Domesticated dads will still have their chores, but WedgEZ will make your routine home life a little bit easier.
