If you’ve ever dunked a phone or camera in the water for “just a second,” and have been disappointed with what happened next, your eyes are always open for gear that will protect your electronics. Ballistic Hydra takes a bit to set up and seal, it’s good for when you want to keep using your phone (including voice and music while near the water though not with headphones). I still don’t think I’d take it underwater for long periods, but the sealing mechanism is pretty extensive (and a little time-consuming) and does keep water out in the bathtub tests I did.
Only drawback is the price tag – $80 retail.
