I would have to go with Mrs. Doubtfire because Robin Williams character loved his children so much he would do anything to be with them...even become a woman. Great movie with a great ending.

Little Miss Sunshine because even though the family wasn't perfect they loved each other and were there for each other

My best times are the Bible stories read at night by mom or dad. I still have the tathered/torn Book; three generations have used and now will be given to the fourth.
By Thomas,
From Avondale
Parenthood by far was the defining film of the decade. Steve Martin rolled with the punches and delt with stress of fatherhood gracefully. With a smile.
By Kristy,

Parenthood - We just laugh through this whole movie!

Although the movie did not get good reviews, I would say Jersey Girl really taught dads about parenting. What Ben Affleck's character discovers as a single dad after many trials and tribulations was that he loved his life (without his high stress/high prestige job)more because being a father to his daughter was the only thing he was really good at.

Chitty Chitty Bang Bang is a great dad film. Who wouldn't want to have Dick Van Dyke's character, the eccentric inventor Caractacus Potts, as a father. I always loved this film as a kid. Looking forward to seeing Bedtime Stories. Thank for the fun give-away.

Believe it or not, a couple of other Adam Sandler movies nicely express the meaning of fatherhood with humor and sentiment: "Big Daddy" and "Spanglish." You can just feel his "dad character" trying his hardest to do what in the kids' best interests. Surprisingly touching work by such a zany actor.
By James,
From Scranton
I would love to see this movie
By Danai,

I honestly do not know the answer to this but look forward to the responses, I could use some movie ideas on this subject. Nanny McFee makes me think a little about teaching dad's what kids need. Thanks!

Bedtime Stories. It embarks upon the necessity for direct interaction from parents (versus TV) that kids need for their development.
By Susan,
From Gresham
This might be an odd choice, but Laurence Fishburne from Boyz N the Hood was a wonderful father despite many obstacles.

I loved "Yours, Mine and Ours". Trial and error is a part of parenting. Start teaching kids right from wrong at an early age. And alway be open and honest with them. As kids get older, they know when you are not being truthful with them, and they learn from what they see at home. And learn to "listen"to your kids.
By Cynthia,
From North Canton
I think Mr Mom was a good one for dads. Thanks for the giveaway.
By Rose,

3 Men and a Baby because it goes through the whole rigamarole from morning to night, and does so with insight and humor, using a man's perspective.
By Stephen,

Hook, definitely. It showed me how I should not forsake my children, but I shouldn't be the child I was before. I have to be the in between.

I really liked Cheaper by the Dozen, although exagerated, it really captures the essence of parenting
By Alicia,

"For Keeps" with Molly Ringwald. It was made in the 80's and it shows a young, teenage couple that taking care of an infant is mostly hard work and responsibility, and not a job to be taken lightly. The actor who plays the teenage father (I forgot his name) takes fatherhood seriously, and does a great job, but the teenage girl has some trouble at first, but then figures it all out. It is a fabulous movie.

this looks like and awsome lil dvd that even older kids would like and that is good because my older kid is stuck at age 13 maturity wise so he is into all the cartoons that make your mind crumble into little bitty bits..we need more educating movies and this would fit the bill.
