Your spouse’s energy may lessen as she enters the ninth month. So she may begin to slow down. According to the U.S. Department of Health & Human Services, this is perfectly normal. It's important for her to get enough rest now, even though it can be more difficult for her to sleep as she get larger. The baby's movements, bathroom runs, and an increase in her body's metabolism can make sleeping difficult.
Try these tips for sleeping in the last three months of pregnancy:
- Get your spouse to avoid eating large meals three hours before going to bed
- Make her do mild exercise like walking
- Get her to avoid taking long naps during the day
- Make sure she talks with you, her friends, her doctor or midwife to relieve stress
