MrDad.com Seal of Approval and GreatDad.com Recommends Seal Programs Now Selecting Fathers Day Award Winners

Here is a copy of the press release that appears on prweb.com:

San Francisco, CA (PRWEB) May 19, 2011 — Do you know of a great product or service specially that boosts interaction between dads and their children?

Then MrDad.com and GreatDad.com want to hear about them. The two leading websites promoting positive parenting for dads are evaluating products and service for the Mr. Dad Seal of Approval and GreatDad Recommends Awards, both to be announced on June 8, 2011. Details can be found at GreatDad.com/recommends. Fathers Day is June 19, 2011 in Canada, the UK, and the United States.

Mr. Dad and GreatDad.com launched the awards to recognize products and services, including toys, that promote interaction between dads and their children. Awarded quarterly, the seals provide consumers an easy way to identify products and services that reinforce the parent/child bond.

Paul Banas, founder of GreatDad.com, said: “As dads, we know how hard it is balance life’s pressures to be the best fathers we can be. We search for products and services that make it fun and easy to be involved fathers.”

Winners receive endorsements on GreatDad.com and MrDad.com, the two leading parenting websites for dads, and can be used in advertising and on packaging. Former winners include Lego, Haba USA, and Wild Creations.

“Next to ‘I love you, Daddy,’ some of the sweetest words a father can hear are, ‘Hey Dad, can we play that again?’ But as our kids get older, it gets progressively harder to find activities to do with them,” says Armin Brott, bestselling author and founder of MrDad.com.

“We created the Mr. Dad Seal of Approval to help dads (and those who love them) identify top-quality, fun products and services that will help them and their children stay connected at every age. Each seal recipient has been field tested by other dads to ensure that it truly has that play-it-again factor.”

“We consider Mr. Dad/Great Dad to be the leaders in the honest evaluation of toys that would naturally appeal to dads and the often unique way that they interact with their children,” said Joe Pokowitz of Prime Time Toys, a recent applicant and seals winner.

Those interested in applying for the awards should visit http://www.GreatDad.com/Recommends for more information. The deadline for applications is June 1, 2011. Fathers Day winners will be announced June 8, 2011.

A panel of dad experts will judge products or services based on whether a product:
