Go to the local library to pick out some favorite storybooks (including some of the classics) to read aloud to the kids.
The best family actovoty we enjoy that is free is going to the beach together. The children have a blast.
I think going to the library together is the best because it is rewarding for everyone.

We love to go fishing as a family. It does cost a little for the bait, but we are lucky enough to have a stocked pond. It gets us outside and the kids go crazy when they catch one!
Walking throughout the neighborhood is my suggestion.

When it snowed, it was just the best day, everyone came together, and we threw snow balls, and walked by the lake.
It was just great family fun.
On Saturday nights we watch a DVD (borrowed from the library) and make smoothies.

I take my grandson’s for long walks in the neighborhood. We wear raingear if its raining. We visit the postoffice and count the trucks as they leave for the day. We collect twigs and pinecones that we throw off the bridge into the river and we stop by the firehouse to see the firetrucks. No matter where you live you can find some fun activity for your walk.
