My son and I went to buy hairdye for my wife and we bought her the one with the prettier girl on the box. My wife is blonde, and we bought her red dye. My son picked it.

My son was in 3rd grade and had to write about someone famous or infamous. He thought infamous meant NOT famous so he wrote about my dad being such an honest man that he walked 10 blocks back to the grocery store to return 25 cents that they gave him in error.

The funnies thing my dad used to do for shopping was that maybe once a year or so, he would decide to make a “late night” shopping trip after visiting my gradparents. It was really maybe 9pm, but it certainly felt like we were out way later than we should be allowed.

I went shopping with my Dad earlier this year and he decided that I was taking too long, walked over to the shoe department, sat down and took a nap.

The finniest shopping trip I can imagine was my mom sending my dad to the grocery store with a list ans it included specific feminine products. I can imagine my dad searching the aisle for the spcecific brand and style.

It wasn’t funny to him but our grandfather wnt shopping with grandmother. Returning to the car He put the bags on top of the car. and drove off. Things were all over the parking lot. Grandmother was furious, a crowd gathered and security was trying to round up all the stuff. Grandpa said this would never have happened downtown. He swore off going to the mall again.

Well, once I went with Dad to Sams Club. I am a frugal shopper even there. But, he was just grabbing stuff left and right without even looking at unit prices. Pulled out my calculator and his mouth dropped at how much he could save even more if he paid attention

My dad hated to buy “monthly female” products. He would call the local drug store that delivered if we mentioned we needed such items. We occasionally had to call him at work and ask him to pick them up on his way home. We found out years later that he sent his secretary out to take care of our needs. Thank you for the opportunity to participate in this giveaway!

It has to be when my dad and mom would take us shopping. There were four of us kids. After we shopped, we’d stop for ice cream at Dairy Queen (I’m going back years!). Just to watch us all squabble, he would order 3 vanilla cones and 1 chocolate come. I think he really got a kick out of us fighting over the chocolate every time!

The funniest shopping story happened to me about a decade ago. I left my husband in the car while I ran into a store at a major mall. I forgot what door I entered and could not find the car. I circled the mall for FOUR hours finally getting a cab to take me home. At the house I was greated by my husband and the police. My husband was filing a missing persons report!

When my best friend and I were little we loved going to the used bookstore in town. Her dad would be watching us and surprise us with, “Do you girls want to get some ice-cream and books?!” Every time we got back her mom would say that he spoiled us rotten. 🙂

My mom and I have a Black Friday tradition. Every year we shop then have lunch. Two years ago my mom had to work. Dad volunteered to go Black Friday shopping with me. He hates shopping. We tried to warn him that Black Friday is not for the faint of heart, but he didn’t believe it would be that bad. The look on his face when we hit our first store was priceless! He couldn’t believe the crowds!
