Indulge Your Child’s Methodic Side with Beddy-Bye

September 29, 2008 by Eric Cooper Leave a Comment

In a world where a lot of games for children are based on fast paced action (example: Hungry, Hungry Hippos), Briarpatch’s Beddy-Bye Game aims to indulge a child’s more methodic side. Although it won’t actually put your child to sleep (shucks!), it will entertain and delight each player, whether child or adult. The object of the game is to collect pajamas, a bottle, and a … [Read more...] about Indulge Your Child’s Methodic Side with Beddy-Bye

Puzzles for kids

March 2, 2006 by GreatDad Writers Leave a Comment

The box says 3+, but he enjoyed seeing the picture come together and was pretty darn happy when he could fit one piece to another. And I found it … [Read more...] about Puzzles for kids

Five toys worth having kids for…

February 2, 2006 by GreatDad Writers 2 Comments

So, okay, be honest... when you were little you imagined that one day you would grow up and no one would be always telling you what not to do. You would go to an amusement park all day, you would stay in the pool an extra hour, you would stay at the ball game until the end of the 9th, rather than leaving in the 8th to avoid the crowds. Some day, you would have a big slot car … [Read more...] about Five toys worth having kids for…

Great Dad Talks

Great Dad Talks is a series of conversations with experts on all aspects of the family adventure. With the perspective that “dads don’t always think like moms,” our mission is to support dad voices and our slightly different approaches to parenting. We’ll try to find solutions to every day challenges like getting kids off the couch and making STEM classes available for both boys and girls. But we’ll also tackle bigger issues when they come. The one main theme will be to support dads in the most important role of their lives that of being a great dad.
